| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αναλύει την πολιτιστική δραστηριότητα στη Σμύρνη το 1907, αξιοποιώντας ως κύρια πηγή την εφημερίδα Αμάλθεια. Πιο ειδικά, εξετάζεται η μουσική, η θεατρική και εν γένει η πολιτισμική κίνηση στην περιοχή της Σμύρνης με σημείο αναφοράς την ομογένεια. Η τελευταία ασκεί μεγάλη επίδραση στα πολιτιστικά τεκταινόμενα, καθώς μέσα από Συλλόγους, Βιβλιοθήκες, Οργανισμούς, Λέσχες και Σχολεία δίνει το παρόν της στον πολιτισμό. Επίσης γίνεται λόγος για τις οικονομικές, πολιτικές και κοινωνικές κατευθύνσεις που καθόρισαν τη δυναμική της Σμύρνης, η οποία αποτέλεσε ένα κομβικό σημείο συνάντησης μεταξύ δύσης και ανατολής. Ένας από τους βασικούς θεματικούς άξονες είναι η θεατρική ανάπτυξη, η οποία διαδραμάτισε καίριο ρόλο στη διατήρηση της πολιτιστικής ταυτότητας των Ελλήνων. Αναλυτικότερα από τις παραστάσεις στο πρώτο θέατρο της Σμύρνης την «Ευτέρπη» και των Λεσχών έως τη δημιουργία νέων θεάτρων, το ελληνικό στοιχείο ενίσχυσε τη σύνδεσή του με την ελληνική γλώσσα και τον εθνικό πολιτισμό. Μάλιστα, σημαντική ήταν η συνεισφορά των περιοδευόντων ελληνικών θιάσων, αλλά και των τοπικών διανοουμένων που καλλιέργησαν την ελληνική δραματουργία. Η Μουσική, αποτέλεσε έναν από τους πιο σπουδαίους πυλώνες της πολιτιστικής ζωής, μέσα από την παρουσίαση μουσικών έργων σε συναυλίες, φιλανθρωπικές εκδηλώσεις, εκπαιδευτικά δρώμενα και θρησκευτικές εορτές. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, ο Τύπος της εποχής ανέδειξε την ανάγκη για βελτίωση των υποδομών, όπως η ίδρυση ενός σύγχρονου θεάτρου και την ενίσχυση της μουσικής εκπαίδευσης στο πλαίσιο της πόλης. Η πολιτιστική δράση συνδεόταν συχνά με εθνικούς και φιλανθρωπικούς σκοπούς, συμβάλλοντας στη διατήρηση του πολιτισμού και της ενότητας. Μέσω της ανάλυσης των δεδομένων που συγκεντρώθηκαν από την Αμάλθεια του 1907 προβάλλεται η Σμύρνη ως ένα κέντρο με πλούσια διαπολιτισμική δράση, το οποίο αποτέλεσε ζωντανό παράδειγμα της δυναμικής του ελληνικού πολιτισμού στη Μικρά Ασία. | el |
| heal.abstract | The present thesis analyzes the cultural activity in Smyrna in 1907, using the newspaper Amaltheia as its primary source. Specifically, it examines the musical, theatrical, and overall cultural events in the Smyrna region, with a focus on the Greek community. The latter played a significant role in the cultural life through Associations, Libraries, Organizations, Clubs, and Schools, contributing to the cultural landscape. Additionally, the thesis explores the economic, political, and social directions that shaped Smyrna’s dynamics, highlighting its role as a pivotal meeting point between East and West. One of the central thematic axes is theatrical development, which played a crucial role in preserving the cultural identity of the Greeks. More specifically, from performances at Smyrna's first theater, Euterpe, and the Clubs to the establishment of new theaters, the Greek community strengthened its connection to the Greek language and national culture. Notably, the touring Greek troupes and local intellectuals significantly contributed to the cultivation of Greek dramaturgy. Music, too, stood out as one of the most vital pillars of cultural life through the presentation of musical works at concerts, charitable events, educational activities, and religious celebrations. Within this context, the press of the era highlighted the need to improve infrastructure, such as the establishment of a modern theater and the enhancement of music education in the city. Cultural activity was often tied to national and charitable purposes, contributing to the preservation of culture and unity. Through the analysis of the data collected from Amaltheia in 1907, Smyrna is presented as a center of rich intercultural activity, serving as a living example of the vitality of Greek culture in Asia Minor. | en |
