| heal.abstract | Το ρύζι ανήκει στο γένος Oryza της οικογένειας Gramineae (Αγρωστώδη) (Khush 2000, Συμεωνίδου 2019, ηλεκτρονική εγκυκλοπαίδεια «Βικιπαίδεια»), δηλαδή στην κατηγορία των δημητριακών και είναι ένα από τα βασικότερα τρόφιμα στον κόσμο. Πάνω από το 50% του πληθυσμού το καταναλώνει καθημερινά (Ιστοσελίδα BASF, Συμεωνίδου 2019) και πάνω από δύο δισεκατομμύρια άνθρωποι με χαμηλό εισόδημα εξαρτώνται από αυτό για τις καθημερινές τους διατροφικές ανάγκες (Συμεωνίδου 2019). Γι’ αυτόν τον λόγο, αποτελεί σημαντικό κομμάτι της παγκόσμιας οικονομίας και μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί ως μία από τις πιο σημαντικές οικονομικές δραστηριότητες. Το Νεοχώρι είναι κωμόπολη η οποία ανήκει στον Δήμο Ιεράς Πόλεως Μεσολογγίου. Βρίσκεται στο νοτιοδυτικό τμήμα του νομού Αιτωλοακαρνανίας και πιο συγκεκριμένα, έχει κτιστεί στις όχθες του ποταμού Αχελώου, ο οποίος το χωρίζει από τη κωμόπολη Κατοχή, και απέχει περίπου 20 χιλιόμετρα από την Ι.Π. Μεσολογγίου. Το κλίμα στο Νεοχώρι είναι εύκρατο με ήπιους χειμώνες και ζεστά καλοκαίρια και πολύ υψηλή υγρασία καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του έτους. Τα καλοκαίρια οι θερμοκρασίες ξεπερνούν τους 40C ενώ τον χειμώνα σπανίως η θερμοκρασία να πέσει υπό το 0 (Ηλεκτρονική εγκυκλοπαίδεια «Βικιπαίδεια»). Στο Νεοχώρι υπάρχουν αρκετές καλλιέργειες ρυζιού. Η γεωγραφία του όμως το καθιστά μία κωμόπολη με πολλές προοπτικές για περαιτέρω ανάπτυξη των ορυζοκαλλιεργειών προσφέροντας πολλά πλεονεκτήματα στο οικοσύστημα αλλά και στην τοπική οικονομία. | el |
| heal.abstract | Rice belongs to genus Oryza of the Gramineae family (Khush 2000, Simeonidou 2019, Wikipedia), therefore it is in the category of the cereals and it is one of main foods consumed worldwide. More than 50% of the population consumes it daily (Ιστοσελίδα BASF, Simeonidou 2019) and more than two billion people with low income depend on it for their daily dietary needs (Simeonidou 2019). For this reason, it is a really important part of world’s economy and can be considered one of the most important economic activities. Neochori is a town that belongs to the Municipality of the Holy City of Messolonghi. Located in the southwestern part of the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania, it has been built on the banks of the Acheloos River, which separates it from the town of Katochi, and is more or less 20 kilometers away from Messolonghi. The climate in Neochori is temperate with mild winters and warm summers and very high humidity throughout the year. In summers temperatures exceed 40°C and in winter the temperature rarely drops below 0 (Wikipedia). In Neochori there are several cultivations of rice. Its geography, however, makes it a town with many prospects for further growth of rice cultivations, offering many advantages to the ecosystem and the local economy. | en |
