heal.abstractSpin fluctuations in two samples of the La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 system doped with 1% Fe-57 and 5% Sn were studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Fe substitutes for Mn3+ and Sn for Mn4+. A charge redistribution occurs between 4.2 K and T-c. The charge carrier concentration defines magnetic regions with different coupling constants which fluctuate with relaxation rates increasing exponentially with temperature. At similar to 0.9T(c) both probes reveal charge localization which spreads fast in the Mn3+/Mn4+ lattice as the temperature approaches T-c. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.en
