Η συμβολή της εφαρμοσμένης γλωσσολογίας στην ανάπτυξη της κριτικής σκέψης (Master thesis)

This paper studies the potential contribution of applied linguistics to the development of critical thinking. For this purpose, the findings of Critical Discourse Analysis are used as principles for the planning of learning interventions whim aim at development of critical language awareness of preschool and school-aged students. The conclusions that are drawn from the planning of the interventions and the implementation of the preschool intervention point, imply that the development of critical thinking through language learning is possible. Furthermore, some of the guiding principles of Critical Discourse Analysis about language learning and critical language awareness are confirmed.
