Μοντέλο διδασκαλίας φυσικών εννοιών σε μαθητές με νοητική αναπηρία (Master thesis)

Science is a way of learning and understanding about what it is in the natural world. However, the educational intervention on students with intellectual disabilities is focused mainly on cognitive skills. The teaching intervention focuses primarily on mathematics and secondly on science. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of an intervention program in the understanding of the water cycle. The survey involved six students with intellectual disabilities, which were separated in two groups, intervention group and control group. For the data collection, it was used one assessment tool at the beginning and at the end of the intervention program. The results showed that the intervention group had greater performance improvements than the control group. In conclusion, the results reveal that the proposed method has positive effects in the understanding of the water cycle.
