| heal.abstract | Εισαγωγή: H πρακτική άσκηση στα πλαίσια των προπτυχιακών σπουδών αποτελεί ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό μέρος της νοσηλευτικής εκπαίδευσης καθώς καλύπτει το κενό που υπάρχει ανάμεσα στη θεωρία και στην πράξη. Η διερεύνηση των απόψεων και των εμπειριών των φοιτητών έχει χαρακτηριστεί ως η πιο κατάλληλη μέθοδος για την αξιολόγηση της κλινικής άσκησης αφενός γιατί συμβάλλει στην ανάπτυξη της και αφετέρου γιατί ενισχύει την εξέλιξη των φοιτητών και του νοσηλευτικού επαγγέλματος. Σκοπός: Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία διερευνά κατά πόσο η υποστήριξη και η καθοδήγηση που έλαβαν οι φοιτητές κατά τη διάρκεια της πρακτικής τους άσκησης τους βοήθησε τόσο σε ακαδημαϊκό όσο και σε προσωπικό επίπεδο. Υλικό & Μέθοδος: Η συγκεκριμένη μελέτη αποτελεί μια ποιοτική έρευνα. Η συλλογή των δεδομένων πραγματοποιήθηκε με τη μέθοδο των ημιδομημένων συνεντεύξεων. Το δείγμα αποτέλεσαν 5 φοιτητές που βρίσκονταν στο 4ο έτος των σπουδών τους και συγκεκριμένα στο στάδιο όπου διενεργούσαν την πρακτική τους άσκηση σε ένα από τα δύο νοσοκομεία της πόλης των Ιωαννίνων (Πανεπιστημιακό Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ιωαννίνων και Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Ιωαννίνων “Γ. Χατζηκώστα”). Η ανάλυση των δεδομένων εφαρμόστηκε με την ποιοτική μεθοδολογική προσέγγιση και συγκεκριμένα με την τεχνική κωδικοποίησης «in vivo» και τη θεματική ανάλυση περιεχομένου. Αποτελέσματα: Από την ανάλυση των δεδομένων προέκυψαν δώδεκα κατηγορίες οι οποίες ομαδοποιήθηκαν και δημιουργήθηκαν έξι θεματικές ενότητες. Σύμφωνα με τις ερμηνείες των φοιτητών προέκυψαν οι παρακάτω θεματικές ενότητες: 1) Οι παράγοντες που οδηγούν στην επιλογή του νοσηλευτικού επαγγέλματος, 2) το κενό μεταξύ της θεωρίας και της πράξης και η αναγκαιότητα ενίσχυσης γνώσεων, 3) οι παράγοντες που συμβάλλουν στην απόκτηση θετικών και αρνητικών εμπειριών, 4) ο ρόλος του νοσηλευτικού προσωπικού και του επόπτη καθηγητή στο κλινικό περιβάλλον άσκησης, 5) οι παράγοντες που προωθούν την εκμάθηση στο κλινικό περιβάλλον, και 6) οι προσδοκίες για το μέλλον, στις οποίες αποτυπώθηκαν οι απόψεις και οι εμπειρίες των φοιτητών μέσα από τη διαδικασία των συνεντεύξεων. Συμπεράσματα: Η ποιότητα της κλινικής εκπαίδευσης των φοιτητών νοσηλευτικής εξαρτάται σε μεγάλο βαθμό από την ποιότητα της κλινικής εμπειρίας που αποκτούν κατά την επαφή τους με το κλινικό περιβάλλον άσκησης. Ένα θετικό και υποστηρικτικό κλινικό περιβάλλον πλούσιο σε κλινικές εμπειρίες, προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα στους φοιτητές να καλλιεργήσουν τις γνώσεις τους και να ενδυναμώσουν το πνεύμα τους. Η συνεργασία τόσο με το νοσηλευτικό προσωπικό όσο και με τον επόπτη καθηγητή τους, αποτελούν καθοριστικό παράγοντα για την αποτελεσματική εκμάθηση και επίτευξη των στόχων τους στο κλινικό περιβάλλον άσκησης. | el |
| heal.abstract | Background: Clinical practice in undergraduate studies is of particularly importance of nursing education as it covers the gap between theory and practice. The exploration of students‟ views and experiences has been identified as the most appropriate method for assessing clinical practice education as on the one hand it contributes to its development and on the other hand it enhances the development of students and the nursing profession. Aim: The aim of this current study is to investigate if the support and guidance received by students during their clinical practice education helped them both academically and personally. Materials & Methods: This is a qualitative study. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews. The sample consisted of 5 students who were in the 4th year of their studies and specifically at the stage where they exercise their clinical practice in one of the two hospitals of Ioannina (University General Hospital of Ioannina and General Hospital of Ioannina „„G. Xatzikostas‟‟). Data analysis was applied with qualitative methodological approach and specifically with «in vivo» coding technique and content thematic analysis. Results: From data analysis twelve categories were emerged, each of them was grouped and were created six thematic units. According to students‟ interpretations the following themes were developed: 1) factors that lead to choose the nursing profession, 2) the gap between theory and practice and the need to enhance knowledge 3) factors that contribute to acquire positives and negatives experiences, 4) the role of nursing staff and the supervisor in clinical practice environment 5) factors that promote learning in clinical practice environment and 6) the expectations for the future, that views and experiences of students were captured through the process of interviews. Conclusion: The quality of nursing students‟ clinical education depends to a large extent of the quality of clinical experience they acquire in their contact with clinical practice environment. A positive and supportive clinical environment enriched in clinical experiences offer students the opportunity to cultivate their knowledge and empower their spirit. The collaboration both with nursing staff and their supervisor is a key factor in effective learning and achieving their goals in the clinical practice environment. | en |
