Αντιλήψεις και στάσεις εκπαιδευτικών για την αξιοποίηση των εργαλείων Web 2.0 στο πλαίσιο προγραμμάτων σχολικών δραστηριοτήτων (Master thesis)

The current study researches the perceptions of secondary education teachers regarding to the use of ICT and specifically of web 2.0 tools in the implementation of School Activities Programs (Environmental Education Program, Cultural Program, Health Education Program), focusing on the development of cooperation and communication (pupils- teachers and educators- teachers/associates). Furthermore, it attempts to capture the perceptions of teachers about those factors that play a decisive role in the successful exploitation of web 2.0 tools in a SAP and intention- expression of interest for future use of these tools. The results show that blog and social networking site stand out as the first choices during the implementation of a SAP. Their exploitation is found in most stages of implementation of a SAP. However, the exploitation of web 2.0 tools seems to be done in isolation and fragmentation, possibly without being part of a clear framework of learning goals and activities. The findings demonstrate teachers' positive attitude towards the exploitation and integration of ICT and web 2.0 tools in the educational process, in particular the implementation of a SAP and recognize the pedagogical benefits that can arise for their students and themselves, reinforcing and highlighting the concept of collaboration. Finally, it seems that studies play an important role in differentiating the perceptions of teachers. According to the findings, the acquisition of postgraduate and/ or doctoral degrees shows that it is positively related to the level of knowledge and exploitation of teachers' ICT and web 2.0 tools. Consequently, it is necessary to continuously train and update the knowledge of secondary education teachers and the pedagogical use of web 2.0 tools to respond to their multidimensional role.
