| heal.abstract | The purpose of this article is to present the publications of Anastasios Koulouriotes and his vews on Greek - Albanian relations. In his first work he advocated Prince Alfred's candidature to the Greek throne (London 1863). In another work, he described the activities of the British and Foreign Bible Society in Greece and the states reaction in Athens. But most of all, Anastasios Koulouriotes was known as the publisher of «The Voice of Albania», a newspaper edited in Athens in 1879-1880, in order to promote the Albanian cause. Within this scheme he published an Albanian alphabet in Greek characters in 1880. Two years later, in 1882, he published two more books; an Albanian spelling book and a book called «Milk for babies». All these activities resulted to the foundation of the league «The Albanian Blood - Brothers» (1884). The writer's contribution also consists of further knowledge of the political activities of Koulouriotes concerning the Greek - Albanian relations. | en |
