heal.abstractΗ συγκεκριμένη διδακτορική διατριβή στοχεύει στη σύνθεση ενός πλήρους ερμηνευτικού υπομνήματος της αριστοτελικής πραγματείας Μετεωρολογικὰ IV. Το φιλοσοφικό αυτό έργο χαρακτηρίζεται «αριστοτελική χημική πραγματεία» και ‒παρά τον τίτλο του‒ δεν αναφέρεται καθόλου στα μετεωρολογικά φαινόμενα. Αντικείμενό του είναι η μελέτη του σχηματισμού των ὁμοιομερῶν σωμάτων και των ιδιοτήτων τους. Ὁμοιομερῆ ορίζονται τα σώματα που χαρακτηρίζονται από ομοιογένεια και, φαινομενικά τουλάχιστον, αποτελούνται μόνο από ένα υλικό. Ο σχηματισμός τους πραγματώνεται ύστερα από τον αμοιβαίο μετασχηματισμό των τεσσάρων στοιχεῖων, κυρίως της γης και του νερού. Tα τέσσερα στοιχεῖα μετασχηματίζονται αμοιβαία, ύστερα από την επίδραση των δύο ζευγών ποιοτήτων/δυνάμεων που καθορίζουν τη δημιουργία των φυσικών σωμάτων: είναι το ενεργητικό ζεύγος (θερμόν‒ψυχρόν) και το παθητικό ζεύγος (ξηρόν‒ὑγρόν). Η διδακτορική διατριβή περιλαμβάνει μια εκτενή εισαγωγή, στο πλαίσιο της οποίας τίθενται υπό πραγμάτευση τα εξής ζητήματα: το ζήτημα της γνησιότητας των Μετεωρολογικῶν IV και της τοποθέτησής τους στο αριστοτελικό corpus, μια απόπειρα χρονολόγησής τους, η σχέση τους με άλλες αριστοτελικές πραγματείες και η εκτενής παρουσίαση της αριστοτελικής φυσικής θεωρίας που εντοπίζεται σε αυτά. Ιδιαίτερη μνεία δίνεται στο ζήτημα των πόρων και της ύπαρξης της αριστοτελικής τελεολογίας στο έργο. Στο εκτενές ερμηνευτικό υπόμνημα σχολάζεται το κείμενο λέξη προς λέξη· στο πλαίσιο αυτό, αναφέρονται και ερμηνεύονται παράλληλα χωρία ενώ δίνεται και μια αναλυτική εικόνα των θέσεων του φιλοσόφου που απαντούν στην υπό μελέτη πραγματεία. Η μετάφραση του κειμένου αποδίδει και παράλληλα ερμηνεύει, πιστή στο πρωτότυπο, τα φιλοσοφικά νοήματα του έργου.el
heal.abstractThis PhD thesis aims at a detailed commentary on the Aristotelian treatise Meteorologica IV. This treatise is well-known as the "Aristotelian chemical treatise", since, despite the title, no reference is made to the meteorological phenomena. Meteorologica IV is about the creation of the homoiomerē bodies and their properties. Homoiomerē are the homogenous bodies consisted of -at least visually- only one material. Their creation is achieved by the reciprocal change of the four elements, mainly of the earth and of the water. The elements change from one another under the influence of the two pair of qualities that determine the creation of the physical bodies: these pairs are the active (hot-cold) and the passive one (dry-wet). This PhD includes an extensive introduction, which examines the following issues: the issue of the treatise's authenticity and its place in the Aristotelian coprus, an attempt of the treatise's dating, its connection with other Aristotelian treatises and a thorough presentation of the Aristotelian physic theory present in the Meteorologica IV. Special reference is made to the issues of pores and of the Aristotelian teleology. In the detailed commentary, the text is examined word by word and the parallel texts are referred and interpreted· at the same time, a detailed description of the Aristotelian theories that appear in this treatise is given. The modern Greek translation depicts and simultaneously interprets, close to the original text, the treatise's philosophical meanings.en
