Έξυπνο σύστημα προστασίας κινδύνων απο ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα σε παιδικό δωμάτιο (Master thesis)

An intelligent technology system for additional protection from electricity in the child's room was designed and built. The afrementioned system is meeting the need for children's safety when the parent is absent and acts alongside already established safety measures. Its basic function is based on the detection of the age of individuals present in the room. The system detects when a child or an adult enters or leaves the room and acts accordingly, by cutting electric supply to sockets without a plug or allowing all the sockets to be active. It uses UV and motion sensors. Specifically, it uses two pairs of distance sensors on the door frame and a motion sensor inside the room. The system was built based on Arduino architecture.
