Προσδιορισμός των μηχανικών ιδιοτήτων σύνθετων πιεζοηλεκτρικών υλικών με μεθόδους υπολογιστικής ομογενοποίησης και πεπερασμένων στοιχείων (Master thesis)

The present work deals with the modeling of four 3D periodic composites made of piezoceramic fibers and polymer matrix with different volume fractions 17%-54%. We focus on predicting the effective coefficients - elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric properties of periodic transversely isotropic fiber composites using representative volume element method (unit cell method). Great emphasis was placed on the construction of six special cases of boundary conditions in order to find the above mentioned properties of the composite material. The numerical approach used is this of finite element method (FEM) using Ansys 19.1 and Comsol Multiphysics 5.4. The representative volume element models were modeled using the Ansys element : Solid 226 with the capability of modeling piezoelectric applications hence it is a 3-D, 20-Node Coupled-Field element. The steps followed in this work were: building the geometry of the four models adding mechanical properties adjusting behavior of interface boundary conditions solve results calculation of elastic, piezoelectric and dielectric properties of the composite material.
