The promotion of reading for pleasure through the course of language in primary school (Doctoral thesis)
This study focuses on exploring the motivation of reading for pleasure through the lesson of language of elementary school. Theoretical concepts and factors influencing children's reading are thoroughly analyzed. Teachers using a questionnaire express their views on recreational reading, the practices they apply within the class as well as the difficulties they face. Respectively, students express their preferences and interests as well as the factors that affect their reading. At the same time, the position of literature in the curriculum and the enhancement of the reader's motivation are examined. Finally, activities of promoting the reading for pleasure are proposed.
